Azurite , called Chesilite or Malachite azu l , is a mineral derived and associated with copper. It belongs to the group of carbonates. When the phenomenon called "pseudomorphism" takes place, a molecule that causes the formation of Malachite is altered. This takes place when the mineral is exposed to the elements.
