Pyrite is a mineral that contains 53.5% sulfur, and 46.5% iron.
In most cases, Pyrite is solid, fine granular or globular. Insoluble in water.
Its name derives from fire, since when it touches it with other metals it emits sparks.
It is also known as "fool's gold" or "poor man's gold" because of its great resemblance.
