Sage is one of the most used aromatic plants in the world of natural medicine. Salvia is native to Southwestern America, California, and Northwestern Mexico. The native indigenous people of these regions used this plant in their ancestral rituals to purify both the body and the environment. It was believed that the smoke emitted by Salvia, once inhaled, provided well-being and purified the environment of bad energies. Native Americans attributed different properties to Sage, depending on its variety: Blue Sage was used to attract abundance, wealth, prosperity, health and success. White Sage, on the other hand, was used to dissipate negative energies and cleanse bad vibrations from the environment.
